Our vision for a beautiful, enduring and sustainable community for Kidlington

The proposed village neighbourhood, situated north of The Moors, would see the creation of over 64,000sqm (15.8 acres) of accessible green space, enhanced active travel routes (walking and cycling), and approximately 300 houses. The area's distinct identity will be derived from its landscape, heritage and geographic setting.

Our proposal sets out to deliver on the following objectives:

  • Respond positively to the existing context and landscape.
  • Enhance existing native biodiversity.
  • Provide affordable, energy-efficient homes.
  • Create a network of interconnected streets, paths and open spaces giving priority to pedestrians and cyclists.

The site is being promoted through a joint venture between Bloombridge LLP and HarperCrewe, a new generation house builder seeking to deliver market-leading, high quality homes with excellent energy efficiency and sustainability credentials.

HarperCrewe and Bloombridge recognise that it is essential that any development should be a place where people of all ages and backgrounds can live together and feel part of a community.  This is achieved through good placemaking; identifying how development can add to the settlement it belongs to, thereby enhancing and strengthening the local community.
